Capel enjoys a blend of rural countryside, rolling hills and wide open spaces, and boasts over 27 kilometres of pristine beaches, rich Jarrah forests and the magnificent Tuart forest which is part of the only naturally occurring Tuart forest in the world. The Capel River winds its way past the town and discharges into Geographe Bay at Peppermint Grove Beach, one of the region's best kept secrets. Holiday makers and permanent residents share this quiet hamlet and enjoy the beautiful beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see both north towards Bunbury and south towards Busselton and Dunsborough. Capel Descent is a fundraising event for the Apex Club of Capel inc. All
proceeds from registration fees go towards helping us continue to serve
the local Capel community through volunteer work, provision of equipment,
services, labour and funds, as well as organisation and assistance with
activities and events that help foster community spirit.
