welcome to Capel The Shire of Capel is situated on the shores of Geographe Bay approximately 212 kilometres south west of Perth. Capel enjoys a blend of rural countryside, rolling hills and wide open spaces, and boasts over 27 kilometres of pristine beaches, rich Jarrah forests and the magnificent Tuart forest which is part of the only naturally occurring Tuart forest in the world. The Capel River winds its way past the town and discharges into Geographe Bay at Peppermint Grove Beach, one of the region's best kept secrets. Holiday makers and permanent residents share this quiet hamlet and enjoy the beautiful beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see both north towards Bunbury and south towards Busselton and Dunsborough. Capel Shire is unique in its diversity and we invite you to take the time to explore and experience our wonderful landscape and all it has to offer. For more info visit: www.capel.wa.gov.au accommodation A range of accommodation is available close to the course for those travelling to the region, from campsites and caravan parks to beach houses and B&Bs. Get a small group down for the weekend and be less than an hour from many other fantastic paddling spots, as well as wineries and quality golf courses.
